 HELP!

Two of our longest-running quiz locations - The Skylark Café in West Seattle and Murphy’s Pub in Wallingford - need your help! For The Skylark, Sound Transit is coming through the neighborhood, forcing them to relocate. For Murphy’s, the owners are raising funds to buy their building, saving it from demolition.

I can’t fully express how much the support of The Skylark and Murphy’s has meant to us at Quizfix. The Skylark was the first to take a chance on this whole Quizfix thing, and Murphy’s is the first place I ever played or hosted a pub quiz. Beyond us, these two venues are integral parts of their neighborhoods, run by fantastic folks who care about their customers. They deserve better.

Both venues have started fundraising campaigns. If you can, give what you can:

SKYLARK FUNDRAISER * MURPHY’S FUNDRAISER

(I’m also including the link to Mode Music’s fundraiser - they’re the music-and-arts school next door to The Skylark. They are also facing relocation. I come from a family of music educators, and in an era of shrinking arts education in schools, the work Erin and her staff do at Mode is not only wonderful, it’s essential.)

MODE MUSIC FUNDRAISER

Thanks. Now go start your day - we’ll see you tonight at the quiz.

xoxo
