Monica Shook

Hi – Paul here…

We here at Quizfix are celebrating the life of Monica Shook, who passed away last Friday after a long battle with cancer. 

Monica was an important part of the Quizfix community – hosting at The Blu Grouse and Fitzgerald’s for years, co-hosting the podcast, singing our theme song and writing content for our quizzes.  Above all that, she was a great friend and, from the moment I met her in 2015, one of my favorite people - funny, cynical, smart, sarcastic, and absolutely lovely. To say she will be missed is a massive understatement.

On behalf of Monica, I would like to thank all the Quizfix players and venue owners for their incredible generosity and support throughout her illness  She told me several times how the outpouring of love from our trivia community meant so much to her.  You are good people and you treated her well.  Thank you again.

A few weeks ago, she mentioned how much she had enjoyed playing the Zoom quizzes at home with her husband and friends (Sneaky Sneaks is her team).  In honor of her, we are keeping the quizzes going this week with rounds on subjects Monica loved and/or wrote about.
